The Poipoia te Kākano Komiti has been established to provide whānau-led guidance and support for our bilingual unit. The Komiti works alongside kura leadership to strengthen the delivery of a programme aligned with Te Marautanga o Aotearoa curriculum, ensuring tamariki are supported to succeed in te reo Māori, their identity, and their learning, while strengthening connections with whānau, Ōrongomai Marae, Mana whenua and the wider hapori.

Members of the Komiti include elected whānau representatives from families of tamariki enrolled in Poipoia te Kākano, ensuring whānau voice is embedded in decision-making and the ongoing development of Poipoia te Kākano.
